Southwest offers a range of credit cards that not only help you earn extra points on Southwest purchases, but also qualifying rapid rewards points toward status.


Southwest Rapid Rewards Personal Credit Cards:

  • Annual fee: $99

  • Sign-up bonus: Earn 85,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

  • Travel perks:

    • First Checked Bag Free: Cardmembers and up to 8 additional passengers in the same reservation can check their first bag at no additional cost

      • Context: For a family of 4, this would be a savings of up to $280 roundtrip ($35 per bag per trip)

    • Seat Selection: Select a Standard seat within 48 hours prior to departure, when available
